Where does this comedy about domestic violence fit into the world? Discovering how scenic elements fit with the other aspects of this show, while avoiding the stumbling block of working with such a delicate subject in such an unusual way. Because the subject is so emotionally volatile, the end result is a realistic, brutally honest set to show the horrors of Nan's life, with comedy being intermediately overlaid on top of that foundation with props, sound, costumes, and projcetions. The singular constant on stage is that cabin in the woods of Georgia, detailed down to the dirty dishes in the sink and the handmade, stained cushions on the stools. Having this solid base for the subject of domestic violencel lets the play have fun with Nan's humerous retrobution throughout the show.
